The Tempus GPS Module is a Trimble Propriety/NMEA 0183 compatible output GPS receiver, with a separate external active antenna connection, for a remotely positioned antenna. The unit is housed in a rugged aluminium case.
It was designed and manufactured for the mobile workforce where there is a specific requirement for an externally fixed GPS antenna connection. The unit is powered directly from a USB2 port, which eliminates the need for a separate power source.
Tempus also manufacture a serial cable version of the module. Please note, the Tempus GPS Serial Module does require a separate power supply.
